Recreational Ministries at Sixes UMC

Our Vision is to reach the Sixes community and beyond with a practical message of God’s love and purpose through recreational ministries. These ministries will provide opportunities for participants to begin a journey of faith for the first time and enrich their faith journey for a lifetime. We will serve with and model the following values of integrity, compassion, and cooperation in all aspects of our recreational ministries.

3 on 3 Co-ed Soccer

3 on 3 soccer is offered for children 4 years of age through 1^st grade. Our Soccer League is offered in the Spring and Fall. We offer co-ed leagues that introduce them to the game of soccer, and the 3 on 3 format affords each player the maximum amount of playing time as well as the maximum opportunity to develop soccer skills. The season includes 10 practices and 8 games with an awards banquet closing out the season.

5 on 5 Co-ed Flag Football

5 on 5 co-ed flag football is offered for children in 2^nd grade through 5^th grade. Flag Football is offered in the Spring and Fall. Players have the opportunity to learn the basics of football in a limited contact learning environment. Mouthguards are required and are included in the flag football fee. The season includes 10 practices and 8 games with an awards banquet closing out the season.

Cheerleading

Cheerleading is offered for girls 4 years of age through 5^th grade. Our cheerleading focuses on learning basic cheers and dances that promote team sportsmanship as well as positive, body image. Cheerleading attire will include cheer shirts and pom poms. The cheerleading season includes 10 practices and 8 cheer games with an awards banquet closing out the season. Cheer squads are assigned to corresponding flag football teams.

Fees: 3 on 3 Co-ed Soccer ($75.00); 5 on 5 Co-ed Flag Football (95.00); Cheerleading ($70.00). Fees include team jerseys, pom poms, mouth guards, participation awards, and awards banquet. Checks are payable to Sixes United Methodist Church. Please note which sport your child will be participating on your check or money order. Please send in check or money order with registration form. You can drop off registration forms and money at the church office (8243 Bells Ferry Road, Canton, GA 30114) from 9am to 2pm, Monday thru Thursday, OR mail them.
